Dimet Tablet 500 Mg is an immediate-release metformin prescription tablet used with diet and physical activity to improve blood glucose control in type 2 diabetes when clinically appropriate. It reduces glucose production by the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.

Active ingredients: Metformin hydrochloride 500 mg per film-coated tablet.

How to use: Take the prescribed dose with or immediately after meals to reduce stomach upset. Swallow with water. The daily dose and number of doses are individualized according to glucose control and kidney function; do not double a missed dose.

Important: Kidney function must be assessed. Severe dehydration, major illness, surgery or iodinated contrast may require temporary interruption under medical instructions.
