Osteo Alfa contains alfacalcidol 1 mcg, an active vitamin-D analogue prescribed for disorders of calcium and bone metabolism. It is a prescription medicine and should not be treated as a general vitamin D supplement: treatment requires an individualized dose and blood monitoring to avoid dangerous high calcium.

Recommended use:

Important warnings:
Do not self-dose. Tell the prescriber about kidney stones, high calcium/phosphate, sarcoidosis, digoxin, thiazides, anticonvulsants and all calcium/vitamin D products. Symptoms of high calcium—nausea, constipation, intense thirst, frequent urination, weakness, confusion or irregular heartbeat—need prompt medical review. Keep out of reach of children.
