Preshert 80 mg is a cardiovascular medicine containing valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker. It is primarily used to lower elevated blood pressure and may also be used in selected adults with symptomatic heart failure or after a recent heart attack when clinically appropriate.

• Treatment of high blood pressure to support long term cardiovascular and kidney risk reduction as part of an overall treatment plan.
• Management of symptomatic heart failure in selected adults when the healthcare professional considers valsartan appropriate.
• Treatment of clinically stable adults after a recent myocardial infarction when indicated by the cardiology team.

How it works:
Valsartan blocks the action of angiotensin II at the AT1 receptor. This relaxes blood vessels, lowers blood pressure, and reduces the workload placed on the heart.

Active ingredient and composition:

How to use:
Take exactly as directed. For uncomplicated hypertension, valsartan is commonly taken once daily, but the dose and frequency differ in heart failure and after myocardial infarction. Dizziness may be more noticeable after the first doses or during fluid loss. Facial or throat swelling requires emergency care.
