Why it is used:
For self-monitoring of blood glucose by a single user at home or while travelling; not for diagnosing diabetes, screening, or neonatal testing.

Ingredients and components:
50 reagent-treated test strips per listed unit, plus the stated promotional unit. Each strip contains glucose-reactive enzyme/electron-transfer chemistry and buffers; exact reagent quantities and compatibility must be confirmed in the current Select Plus leaflet.

How to use:
Wash and dry hands. Insert one strip into the compatible meter, obtain a fingertip blood drop with a new lancet, touch the sample edge to the drop, and wait for the displayed result. Use once only; close the vial immediately and follow the meter/strip leaflet for sample size, storage and expiry after opening.

Potential side effects and precautions:
Finger-prick pain, bruising, bleeding or rare local infection may occur. Wrong meter compatibility, wet/expired strips, contaminated hands, extreme temperature or an inadequate sample can produce an unreliable result. Confirm unexpected results and seek urgent help for severe hypo-/hyperglycaemia symptoms.
