Zynostat 40 Mg is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor used for the long-term management of chronic high uric acid in adults with gout when urate deposition has occurred. It lowers uric acid but does not provide immediate pain relief during an acute gout attack.

Active ingredients: Febuxostat 40 mg per tablet.

How to use: Take one tablet once daily, with or without food, at a consistent time. Continue it during a gout flare unless the prescriber tells you otherwise, and attend uric-acid and liver monitoring.

Important: It is not recommended for asymptomatic high uric acid. Tell the prescriber about cardiovascular disease, and do not combine it with azathioprine or mercaptopurine.
