Spiriva Respimat Solution 2.5 Mcg contains tiotropium, a long-acting anticholinergic bronchodilator for once-daily maintenance treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and as add-on maintenance therapy for severe asthma when clinically indicated; it is not a rescue inhaler.

Ingredients: Each delivered puff provides tiotropium 2.5 micrograms as tiotropium bromide. Excipients include benzalkonium chloride, disodium edetate, purified water and hydrochloric acid for pH adjustment.

How to use: Inhale two puffs once daily at the same time each day using the Respimat inhaler, following professional device training. Avoid spraying into the eyes. Continue the prescribed controller treatment and use the separate rapid-relief inhaler for sudden breathing attacks.

Important safety information: Dry mouth, cough, throat irritation, headache or dizziness may occur. Eye pain with halos, urinary retention, severe allergy or paradoxical worsening of breathing requires urgent assessment.
