Gonal-f 450 IU/0.75 mL Pre-filled Pen is a follicle-stimulating hormone fertility medicine used for controlled ovarian stimulation and selected cases of male hypogonadotropic infertility. Its confirmed composition is Follitropin alfa 450 IU, equivalent to 33 micrograms, in 0.75 mL solution in one pre-filled pen.

Inject by the subcutaneous route after training with the supplied pen, cartridge or reconstituted vial. The fertility clinic sets the starting dose and timing and adjusts treatment from ultrasound and hormone monitoring; do not alter the dose or trigger timing independently.

Injection-site reaction, headache, abdominal discomfort, nausea, bloating or ovarian enlargement may occur. Urgent assessment is required for severe abdominal pain or swelling, rapid weight gain, reduced urine, breathing difficulty, chest pain or leg swelling because these may indicate ovarian hyperstimulation or a blood clot. Seek medical or pharmaceutical advice if symptoms are severe, persistent or worsening.
