Bevason N Ointement combines a topical corticosteroid and antibiotic for short-term treatment of inflamed skin conditions with a susceptible secondary bacterial infection. Its active composition is Betamethasone valerate 0.1% and neomycin sulfate 0.5% in a topical ointment base; 20 g tube.

Apply a very thin layer to the affected skin once or twice daily for the shortest treatment period selected by the clinician. Do not use for more than seven days, on large areas, under an airtight dressing, or on the face unless specifically instructed.

Burning, itching, dryness, skin thinning, colour change or contact allergy may occur. Prolonged or extensive use can increase steroid absorption and antibiotic resistance; stop if infection worsens. Seek medical or pharmaceutical advice if symptoms are severe, persistent or worsening.
