Imigran 50 mg tablets contain sumatriptan for the acute treatment of migraine attacks, with or without aura, when migraine has been diagnosed by a doctor. It is not intended to prevent migraine and is not a regular painkiller for everyday headache.

Active ingredient / formula: Each film-coated tablet contains sumatriptan 50 mg, usually as sumatriptan succinate.

How to use: Take exactly as prescribed or as directed in the leaflet. A usual adult dose is one 50 mg tablet taken when migraine symptoms start. If symptoms return, a second dose may be taken only if the leaflet or doctor allows it, with at least 2 hours between doses. Do not exceed the maximum daily dose in the leaflet.

Warnings: Do not use for other types of headache unless advised. Seek medical advice first if you have heart disease, stroke/TIA history, uncontrolled high blood pressure, liver disease, or risk factors for heart disease. Do not combine with other triptans, ergot medicines, or MAO inhibitors unless your doctor confirms it is appropriate for you.
