Buscopan 10mg Tablets is an antispasmodic medicine for painful spasms of the gastrointestinal or genitourinary tract and for symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome.

Ingredients and Composition: Each tablet contains hyoscine butylbromide 10 mg.

Directions for Use: Adults: take 2 tablets up to four times daily. For irritable bowel syndrome, treatment may start with 1 tablet three times daily and increase if required. Swallow whole with water. Persistent or unexplained abdominal pain requires assessment.

Safety Information: Dry mouth, constipation, rapid heartbeat, reduced sweating and urinary retention may occur. Rare serious effects include angle-closure glaucoma and anaphylaxis. It is contraindicated in myasthenia gravis, megacolon and mechanical gastrointestinal obstruction. Severe pain with fever, vomiting, blood in stool or fainting requires urgent care.
