Forteo Col.Inj 250Mcg/Ml 2.4Ml contains teriparatide, a parathyroid hormone analogue used to increase bone formation and reduce fracture risk in selected adults with osteoporosis at high fracture risk.

Ingredients: Teriparatide 250 micrograms/mL. The 2.4 mL pre-filled pen contains 600 micrograms and delivers 20 micrograms in each 80-microlitre dose.

How to use: Inject 20 micrograms subcutaneously into the thigh or abdomen once daily after professional training, rotating sites. Store refrigerated and use a new compatible needle for each injection. Total lifetime treatment should not exceed 24 months unless local specialist guidance differs.

Important safety information: Nausea, headache, dizziness, limb pain and injection-site reactions may occur. Transient low blood pressure or increased calcium can occur. Severe allergy, persistent vomiting, marked weakness or symptoms of kidney stones require assessment.
