Maxigesic IV Solution for Infusion 100 mL 10 Vials is an intravenous combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen for short-term treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever when the intravenous route is clinically necessary. A trained healthcare professional infuses one 100 mL vial over 15 minutes; in adults it may be repeated every six hours when necessary. Total paracetamol from all sources must not exceed 4000 mg in 24 hours, and use is limited to the lowest effective dose for the shortest period.

Nausea, infusion-site discomfort, dizziness, low blood pressure, indigestion, raised liver enzymes or allergy may occur. Seek urgent care for gastrointestinal bleeding, breathing difficulty, chest pain, reduced urine or suspected overdose.
