Symbicort 160/4.5 mcg Turbuhaler 120 Doses is a budesonide and formoterol dry-powder inhaler for maintenance control of asthma and selected obstructive airway disease. Its confirmed composition is Budesonide 160 micrograms and formoterol fumarate dihydrate 4.5 micrograms per inhalation.

For oral inhalation only. The maintenance regimen is individualized; adults commonly use one to two inhalations twice daily. Load one dose, breathe out away from the device, inhale forcefully and deeply, then rinse the mouth and spit. Use it for sudden symptoms only when the treatment plan specifically assigns this inhaler as both maintenance and reliever.

Oral thrush, hoarseness, throat irritation, tremor, headache, palpitations or muscle cramps may occur. Seek urgent care for worsening breathing immediately after inhalation, chest pain, severe palpitations or allergic swelling.
