Uralyt U Modified-Release Granules contains potassium sodium hydrogen citrate to alkalinise urine, dissolve uric-acid stones and help prevent recurrence of uric-acid and selected calcium-containing urinary stones when urine pH is monitored.

Ingredients: Each 2.5 g measuring spoonful contains 2.4 g potassium sodium hydrogen citrate complex (6:6:3:5).

How to use: Dissolve the measured granules completely in a glass of water and drink after meals. The usual daily amount for uric-acid stones is 4 measuring spoonfuls divided as 1 in the morning, 1 at noon and 2 in the evening, but the dose must be adjusted to the measured urine pH by a healthcare professional.

Important safety information: Mild stomach upset, nausea or diarrhoea may occur. Excess potassium can cause weakness, tingling, confusion or abnormal heart rhythm and requires urgent assessment. It is unsuitable in severe kidney impairment, hyperkalaemia, metabolic alkalosis or certain urinary infections.
