Nausea, headache, breast tenderness, mood change, spotting or changes in menstrual bleeding may occur. Drospirenone may raise potassium in susceptible users, and combined contraceptives increase blood-clot risk; urgent care is required for clot symptoms or a severe allergic reaction.
