What Is TYMLOS?

TYMLOS (abaloparatide) is a prescription medication used to:

Treat osteoporosis in postmenopausal women who are at high risk for fracture or who cannot use other osteoporosis treatments or did not respond well to them.

Increase bone density in men with osteoporosis who are at high risk for fracture or who cannot use other treatments or did not respond adequately.

TYMLOS works by activating the body’s natural bone-building process, helping to rebuild bone and increase bone mineral density (BMD).

How TYMLOS Works

There are two main types of osteoporosis treatments:

Treatments that slow down bone loss.

Treatments that help rebuild bone, such as TYMLOS.

While there is no cure for osteoporosis, working with your doctor to choose the right medication and lifestyle plan can help reduce further bone loss and lower fracture risk.

Clinical Study Results
In Postmenopausal Women (18 months)

TYMLOS significantly reduced fracture risk compared to placebo:

Reduced spinal fractures by 86%

Reduced non-spinal fractures by 43%

Increase in Bone Mineral Density (BMD):

Spine: 9.2% vs 0.5% (placebo)

Hip: 3.4% vs –0.1%

Femoral neck: 2.9% vs –0.4%

In Men (12 months)

TYMLOS increased BMD compared to placebo:

Spine: 8.5% vs 1.2%

Hip: 2.1% vs less than 0.1%

Femoral neck: 3.0% vs 0.2%

Improvements were seen as early as 3 months.
