Prin cream contains permethrin 5%, a topical antiparasitic medicine used for scabies when prescribed or recommended after correct diagnosis. Successful treatment also requires attention to close contacts and contaminated clothing or bedding as advised.

Active ingredient:
Permethrin 5% w/w as the active ingredient in a topical cream base.

Directions:
Apply a thin layer to clean, dry, cool skin. For adults and children over 2 years, cover the whole body, including the neck, palms, soles, skin folds and areas beneath the nails; the head and face may be excluded unless affected. Leave on for 8 to 12 hours, then wash off thoroughly. Reapply to the hands if they are washed during treatment. A second application may be recommended after 7 to 14 days. Children under 2 years require close medical supervision.

Important precautions:
Avoid eyes, mouth, mucous membranes and broken skin. Burning, stinging, itching or redness can occur, and itching may continue for several weeks after successful treatment. Infants, pregnancy, breastfeeding and inflamed or infected skin require professional guidance.
