A prescription biologic containing tezepelumab for add-on maintenance treatment of severe asthma in eligible patients aged 12 years and over. It is not a rescue medicine for sudden breathing attacks.

Expected benefit:
As add-on maintenance therapy, it helps improve control of severe asthma and reduce exacerbations in eligible patients; it does not relieve a sudden asthma attack.

Key information:
• Single dose contains tezepelumab 210 mg in 1.91 mL.
• Administered subcutaneously every 4 weeks under the prescribed plan.
• Biologic maintenance therapy targeting thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP).

Ingredients / composition:
Each 1.91 mL single dose contains tezepelumab-ekko 210 mg. Inactive ingredients: glacial acetic acid 2.8 mg, L-proline 48 mg, polysorbate 80 0.19 mg, sodium hydroxide and water for injection.

Recommended use:
Inject 210 mg subcutaneously once every 4 weeks exactly as prescribed. Administration is by a healthcare professional or by a trained patient/caregiver using the supplied presentation permitted locally. Follow the local Instructions for Use, approved injection sites, warming time and disposal procedure. Continue controller medicines unless the prescriber changes them.

Warnings and disclaimer:
Not for acute bronchospasm or status asthmaticus; use the prescribed rescue plan for sudden symptoms. Serious hypersensitivity can occur during or after dosing—seek emergency help for swelling, breathing difficulty, widespread rash or faintness. Common effects include sore throat, joint pain and injection-site reactions. Discuss parasitic infections and vaccines; avoid live vaccines unless the treating clinician approves. Do not abruptly stop corticosteroids. Refrigerate at 2–8°C, protect from light, do not freeze or shake, and follow the local pack’s permitted room-temperature period.
